About

A little about the person behind the camera. . .

I am an extremely natural person, I do not get all dressed up, I do not wear a lot of make-up, and usually you will find me working in flip flops and jeans. I think laughter is underrated and people need a lot more of it in their lives. I tend to like people, animals, things that are different and sort of groovy. I am a sales person by career, however, stepping out of the box to turn my love of photography into my profession.

I really do not like having my own picture taken, so I understand the discomfort that can come with being in front of the camera and always allow plenty of time in the session to get to a place of comfort. I’d much rather capture an honest moment of authentic emotion than a stuffy posed image.

It is my goal that during our session we get images that make you feel as if you are glimpsing at something truly unique and timeless. I love being a photographer and being able to tell a story, your story through images of our time together. I like to include traditional, journalistic and candid styles to all sessions.

The art of storytelling is all too familiar. My grandmother was the kind of grandmother that always had her camera at the ready to catch every moment… Since she passed, I took over the role of camera ready; driving my friends, family and strangers, even pets, crazy with capturing all the moments I can. I have since been employed as the official photographer for all events in our lives and the rest, as they say, is history.
